Spring Challenge starts TODAY!

Ladies,
It's blustery and sunny out...a great day to start our Spring Challenge!
For those who signed up...62 in all...mark each class you come to on the chart (you *must* be measured first so we can give you a code and put your 1st measurements up). Also, if you have *not* done so, please pick up your food journal and start journaling.

We were chatting yesterday and some folks wondered why we didn't weigh you. Well, it's our feeling that we want this challenge to be positive and focus on measurements. As women, we get so many negative messages out in the world-if you're not a size 0 (now a 00) you're not 'worthy'. We all know that's crap. And, who cares what you weigh? As Dr. Oz says on the "O" show-your waist measurement should be 1/2 of your height in inches for 'heart health'. Why? Those who carry their weight in their mid-section have a higher rate of heart disease. So, we're focusing on measurements to quantify how hard you work in class AND to whittle those waists for your HEALTH. It's a healthy competition and really helps us all focus!
Others have asked "Why do we have to journal our food?" Well, because nutrition is equally as important as exercise in this equation of health. Some folks have questioned why we're starting Easter week with all the chocolate bunnies and treats. Well, just because you're journaling your food does NOT mean you can't have a chocolate bunny! (And, don't forget, if you normally bite the ears first-try the tail this time...just for fun!) Have your treats and your special meal this week (for those celebrating Easter)...but write it down and LOOK at it. Stay honest for yourself and you'll see results!
So, as we always say, try and make good food choices at least 5 days per week...build in 1 cheat day and let us help you stay focused. We are SO thrilled with how many of you are participating and how excited you are to do so. We see that 'light' in your eyes and we know that, together we can get healthier, look better and have fun all at the same time!
Have a great day and see you in class!
