Valentine's Day

HI All,
TGIF! Thankfully, we dodged the big storm this week...don't get me started on how the weather folks can be WRONG more than half the time and still be employed. Seriously...

Valentine's Day is upon us and, while I do not generally get into 'fake' holidays, it is nice to have a day to focus on that special person in your life.
And, BTW, that special person can be YOU if you are single!

At the P&P ranch, we don't get a lot of time since we both work crazy hours and I especially am constantly at the Center...so, we use V-day as a great excuse for a date day.

Yes, it's true we have pedis together. We started this when Mr. P&P was teaching skiing more than he is now and, being that he has the flattest feet in history, they get sore. So, since our Day Spa has special pedis for every season, we started doing this a few years back. This year, it's Hot Chocolate Martini pedis. Yes, you get a chocolate martini (I'll have hot chocolate so Mr. P&P will get both martinis...yes, I'm driving) and they use cocoa products for your pedi. And, no, Mr. gets NO polish, before you ask. It's fun, relaxing and something different and I'm always so proud of my husband for not being shy about going into the spa for a pedi. We get the pedi room to ourselves and it's quiet and peaceful.
This year, we got a GREAT deal (http://www.hautelook.com/) on Omaha Steaks so we're having those for supper. The deal we got includes twice baked potatoes, veggies and the steaks. (For less than we'd pay for 2 dinners out and there is enough for 4 people in this deal!) Desserts courtesy of WF.
So, we'll be home with Lilly after our pedis, having a great supper and hanging out.
Oh and, true to form, I bought my own roses ($20 for 2 DOZEN, courtesy of WF)...because I hate overpriced flowers on V-day. They are gorgeous and we can all enjoy them!

I know that we all rush through our lives and don't take lots of time to appreciate those in our lives (I include myself) so, even if you think V-day is a crock of doodoo, at least time a moment to tell that special person in your life (your dog, cat, bird, SO, husband, girlfriend, sister, Mom, Dad, brother, child...or YOU) that you love them and appreciate them.

And, again, if you're single-do something nice for YOU. Because, truly for all of us, if you start the love with yourself, then you'll always have folks around you who love you.

See you in class!
