Battle of the old bats

HI All,
Monday and it's beautiful out...the rest of the week? Not so much. The damn groundhog was WRONG again-I think Spring isn't coming AT ALL!

Ok, so I stopped into Roche Brothers (market) to get a couple items I needed...one of which was my husband's deli for his lunches. So, Roche Brothers USED to have the fastest deli in the area but not anymore. And, they DO NOT use the GD number system like they should so it leaves 4-8 people standing there, no line, no numbers being used and so you're 'on your honor' when they ask 'Who is next?'.
So, I go up to the deli and there are 2 ladies in front of me and one older gentleman. Ok, no problem...I know that I am #4. So, the 2 ladies finish, then the guy and, in the meantime, an old BAT walked up and stood further down the deli counter. Then, when the deli guy went to say "Who is next?" She tries to look pathetic and all like SHE is next and goes to put her hand up, indicating SHE is next. Uh, NO I'm not having it. I FLING my arm up in my best Jazz stretch and say, "I AM NEXT." She glares at me as if, "I'm older and you should let ME go first..." NOTHING DOING you old bat, wait your turn.
Here's the thing...
Just because you're older than me does NOT mean you can shove me (I have been physically SHOVED out of a line by an oldster in the past), pretend you're next or act like your entitled just because you've been on this earth longer than I have. We ALL need to wait I turn, I do, you should.
Oh and when the only reason you're in the store is because you're PANICKING...YET AGAIN because a storm is coming, sorry, but that's DOUBLE the reason for me NOT to let you go first, especially when it's NOT your turn.

So, to all those who DO wait their turn, thank you. To those of you who think you don't have to-GET OVER YOURSELF. You are no better than the rest of us and if I was in line before you, wait your turn...if you were there before me, I WILL wait my turn!
Now, get out there and PANIC...snow is coming...again.
