HI All,
I usually watch the Today Show and, when I miss it, I catch it online while I'm working at the Center.
Today, I saw a wonderful story and I wanted to share a bit with all of you...
As you know, we lost our precious baby, Ally, to canine cancer in 2008. She was only 8 years old and the love of our lives. We treated for many months, with the help of the Tufts Animal Hospital, but, ultimately, God called her home.
Now that we have Lilly, we want to fight cancer even harder!
We give to a couple of canine cancer charities and the one shown today is amazing...
There is a guy from Texas who is walking from Austin to Boston in honor of his dog, who also died from cancer. He has two other dogs who are walking with him. They are camping out, sleeping in churches and bringing awareness to canine cancer research. This man is walking for the love of his baby and to try and bring attention to the blight that is canine cancer.
I just logged onto www.2dogs2000miles.org and ordered 2 bumper stickers.
His tag line is Puppy Up!...LOVE IT!
So, if you have or have ever had a dog you love please check it out and consider purchasing a cute item from their store to support this wonderful dog Daddy in his efforts to fight the cancer that takes our babies.
Together we can fight it!
Thank you and see you in class!
