Hi All,
Last night I went out after class and my beloved Acura MDX wouldn't start. It was flashing the green 'key light' which apparently means the key immobilizer system is malfunctioning. Ultimately, it started and was promptly dropped off at the dealership. This morning, Mr. P&P and I arrived there to get a loaner car and found they had none for us. In that case, our dealer contacts a local rental company and gets us a car until an Acura loaner is available and/or our own car is fixed. Sweet, right? Yes...and no.
As you know, I drive a massive, aforementioned, MDX. I love it. Love, love, love. It also holds all my Jazzercrap, which can, at times, become extensive.

Uh, no Acura MDX loaner available (they usually try and give you the same model you have) and the rental place only had....(are you ready?)
A bright red VW bug.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Now, am I thankful to have a vehicle to drive, for which I do not have to pay? YES
Am I thankful that I am not sitting at the dealership while they diagnose this crazy issue my car is having? YES
Do I feel like I'm driving a clown car? YES
Does all my Jazzercrap and Lilly's stuff fit in this car? Uh, barely.
Is it cute? Sure.

I just spoke to the dealer and the issue with my beloved MDX is a chaffed (is that spelled right?) wiring that goes from the body of my car to the lift gate. GAW. My car is chaffed! Awful! Jeez, I stopped chaffing about 80lbs. ago!
Anyway, we await the cost....and if they currently have the part or not. No part means car tomorrow, part means car later today. (Pray for later today, ok?) Because, seriously, I cannot fit my stuff in this car. The trunk barely fits my 2 Jazzerbags and Lilly's bag, much less my 2 bags of groceries.
Oh and, yes Dawn, I will post the pic of the Bug once it FINALLY arrives in my GD yahoo mailbox! So, wait for the update to this post!
