Platinum!

Hi All,
We hope you had a great weekend and are holding on for dear life as we await the FEEL of Spring, though it's here it certainly doesn't FEEL like it!
On Sunday, we had our District Awards meeting in Providence RI at the lovely Westin Hotel. A few of the instructors went down the night before and had a FUN girls night out! And, they very nicely saved us a table (as the rest of us were rushing down after I taught classes) and we got there early enough to shop and get our luncheon plates before the meeting began.
We had all our instructors, except LH, with us. She is still on the mend and should pop up in class soon as she recuperates and gets back to teaching. We miss her and cannot wait to get her back!
We want to take a moment and thank PA, TD, JF, JL, KT, KF, TM, LD, and MB for attending the meeting, taking time away from their families and supporting our Center! (Sidebar-WOOHOO for D, owner of the Suds/Pepp Centers for her GOLD STATUS! It was precious that she saw SILVER, her name wasn't there and she thought she missed award status completely-uh, NO...GOLD instead!)
The way our meetings go is that we get our lunch and then our DM starts her presentation. At this meeting, those Center and Class Owners who have achieved award status get awards. She began the meeting with this and, for the 11th year in a row, we achieved Platinum (top) status. We deeply appreciate YOUR support-without each of you we certainly wouldn't be at the top and certainly not for the 11 years we have been. THANK YOU! Here's to year #12!!
So, awards complete we started on the 'business' stuff...all good stuff but, as you know, business meetings are not the most gripping/attention inspiring times.
We learned that we have another specialty class (ala Jazz to the MAX) coming in the Fall (focusing on LOWER body-WOOHOO) and a WAY cute summer tote, all polka dotted and fun. You'll team up with 2 friends (or make 2 new friends) and all you need to do is attend class to earn your FREE TOTE (with matching cosmetic bag no less).
We got to see a retrospective of J for the last 40 years and a terrific training DVD about intensity and putting together even better classes for you!
We also learned about an American Cancer Society benefit on April 25 with one of our MOST fabulous choreographers, T. Roberts! There's info on our website and it's a $30 donation for ACS...funk class, ballroom bounce and dancing abs-don't miss it! It's in RI, a short 1 hour drive away and they'll be food/fun served after the classes. We'll caravan down-so do not miss this! Sign up at the desk!
Well, Lilly is napping so it's time for me to get up and out for the day!
