Labor Day is upon us and, with it, the traditional end of Summer. Kids are going back to school and, though days are still nice, that little 'nip' of Fall is in the air. It seems to have come so fast!
And, it makes me think of 'old' fashion rules...
Do you wear white shoes after Labor Day (sneakers notwithstanding...)?
Do you wear white pants after Labor Day?
Open toed shoes?
I do. Well, I'm not a big 'white pants or white shoes' wearer...but if I was, I would wear them anytime they were appropriate, calendar date or no!
Open toed shoes? Uh, yeah, all year if I can get away with it. (Peep toes more in the Fall/Winter but I look longingly at my flip flops all year long!)
Now, back to your regularly scheduled 'fitness' programming:
Of course, with the 'seasons' changing, we see a surge of folks back to class. We are so glad to see everyone but here are a few tips as you get back to class:
1. Start back slowly. Don't plan to take 5 classes in 5 days your first week back. How about 3? Give your body a day of rest in between before you dive back in!
2. Don't forget THIS Wed. night is our last ice cream field trip-see you after the 6:30pm class!
3. Think about going down a pound or 2 on your weights for the first couple weeks back. We've had new routines over the summer and they are challenging!
4. Try a new class format you didn't try last year...body sculpt? circuit?
5. Plan to introduce 1 new friend to our classes-Open House is Sat. 9/27 and a good day to bring new friends. (Just let them know it's not usually that busy, OH tends to be a really big class day!)
6. Buy new sneakers-if you didn't buy a new pair all of last year, do so now. Stop by our favorite downtown NH shoe store, they've got all the brands and the salespeople who really know their stuff!
7. Buy a new sports bra. Yes, that's what I said. You need to buy new here just like your sneakers so from head to toe you are supported properly!
8. Come to class, meet our new instructors, meet new friends and recommit to getting fit!
See you all in class!
