HI All,
Ok, I do realize it's December and Hanukkah starts Friday but WHAT THE HELL!!?? We are, once again, covered in SNOW (That's the 'S' word by the way...).
Hate, loathe, cannot stand, am over it!
Now that I've gotten that out let me make some suggestions:
1. If you are not comfortable driving in the snow, it's ok...STAY THE "H" home. Why? Because when you drive 10 mph (literally) down the street you are a HAZARD. Call me...I'll go get you milk to keep you off the street!
2. If you are a weather person on TV, cut the crap. You have no flippin' idea what it's going to do and, if you do, it's about 50% correct. Let's review-the rain was supposed to start in our area around 8am-try 1pm!
3. If you have some extra bread, peanut butter (unless you're allergic), canned foods, water and milk then you do NOT need to flock to the grocery store and by EVERYTHING in sight as if you will never leave your home again. It is NOT 1978 people and they have made some great advancements in plowing, planning and school/work closings in the last 31 years! Get over it.
4. For those of us who DO know how to drive in this stuff-remember everyone else has 'snow amnesia' and is going to be a complete MORON on the road-so no phone calls while driving in this stuff. Pay attention and stay away from those folks noted in #1 above.
5. If you're bringing your kids to the bus stop, I might suggest you do not STAND IN THE ROAD with them when it's snowing/sleeting and icy. Uh, if I have to stop short I will do my best to NOT hit you but use some common sense, will ya!
6. Everyone take a deep breathe and we'll get through this winter just like we do every other one...oh and come to class, it helps de-stress you, keep your reflexes sharp and it's warm in here and FUN!
