Hi All,
It's the "Monday After" and I think we're all coming down from the 'sugar high' of holiday treats, new toys and shopping!
It was great to see you ALL in class this past weekend and the week is starting strong thus far!
Many have said that Xmas is too commercial and I do agree-but I have to admit, it is nice to give gifts (and see people's joy) and, honestly, to receive gifts too. (Although I DO NOT give gifts to 'get' gifts...FYI)
I am happy to say I stood in exactly ZERO lines this year-shopped online and/or during weekday mornings when everyone else was at work. No stress and I feel I got gifts for those I love that they will really use and appreciate!
We had a GREAT holiday at Villa P&P! Lilly had her 2nd Xmas and she was much more into the toys, wrappings and good food than last year. She was only 9 weeks old last Xmas and sat cuddled in my lap most of the day! This year she had her own plate of prime rib and lots of toys! (We celebrate both holidays in our house but save the gifts for Xmas eve.)
Mr. P&P always surprises me (I do give him a list and printouts of gift options to make it easy for him-he hates to shop. I certainly NEVER expect everything on my 'list') but this year I think I got everything on my wish list. Uggs (chocolate colored), my stocking cap from Coach and a great handbag I found in a little shop in Acton. It's a Big Buddha bag.
(Sidebar-Mr. P&P also got the things on his wish list, including a Garmin!)
Now, when I found this bag I just loved it, I didn't look at the tag (just at the price which was GREAT). Once I got the bag for a gift, I looked at the tag and noticed the name and that the Company was based out of my hometown, Santa Barbara CA. WOW!
I looked up the Company and it was begun by a college student, in Santa Barbara, who wanted to make stylish bags, at great prices, and shipped them out of his college dorm room. I love it!
This guy is definitely 'up and coming' and, as a small business person myself, I like to support entrepeneurs...so check it out:

You'll get a FAB bag for a TERRIFIC price and I just know you'll love it! I just wanted to share my review with you-I think we're all on the lookout for great products at a great price, right?
Anyway...
As the year comes to a close I think most of us are glad to see 2009 end. I don't know about you but I really felt, for the first time this year, that the world has gone stark raving MAD at times. I think we all learned a lot and can apply those lessons in 2010 to make it a much better year.
K and I would like to thank our incredible staff for all their hard work all year and thank all of YOU for attending class, bringing your friends and supporting our business for another year. We do know how lucky we are to be able to do this for a living. We had a dream, made it come true and you all solidified it...without you, it would not be real. Thank you.
So, here's to 2010-let's make it healthy, prosperous and happy for us all!
