Go Girl!??

Ladies and Gents,

Last night's potluck was small but TONS of fun. One of the topics of convo was...the 'Go Girl'.
The 'Go Girl' is a, ahem, device that allows ladies to pee standing up. Their tagline is "Because Life's Adventures shouldn't require a bathroom."
Ok, are there a ton of women out there who want/need to pee standing up that I am, as of now, unaware of? Is this the wave of the future?
They have website and I've tried 4x to post a photo and it's not working...so go to the 'Go Girl' website and check it out, then come back here and let me know what YOU think!

Taking/making time for you!

Hello Everyone!
March is on the horizon and around here (the big J) it means a few things...one of which is (drumroll please....) people start dropping out!
Oh how I hate that.
Now, you are probably thinking I hate it from the business owner standpoint...uh, no. Well, yes, but that's not the overriding thought since I got into this biz to do something I love and help others at the same time.
I hate it because it means folks are *not* taking care of themselves, taking themselves off their priority list and quickly (like, in less than 6 weeks) becoming unhealthy!
How can we fight this??!!
-Do not give up! Everyone wants to see themselves drop 4 dress sizes in a month but it's not going to happen. Fitness is a lifetime commitment-so hang in there. Are you clothes fitting a bit better? Are you feeling more energetic, happier? If so, you're on the right track!
-Check your eating habits. (Those of you on 'Take it off' can log into the online tools to print your food journal) If you're doing great working out with us but still aren't seeing what you want in the 'clothes fitting' department, check that nutrition. Remember that working out is NOT a license to eat everything in sight. Simply write it all down for a week and YOU will see what needs to change. (And attend our nutrition seminars for help!)
-You schedule your kids' activities, schedule your own! Actually WRITE down when you're coming to class on your family calendar. Most cellphones have reminder alarms-set it! YOU are worth taking an hour a couple times a week to take care of yourself. It is *not* selfish for you to take a class or 3 during the week. Your kids will get a 'better' Mommy and YOU will feel better about YOU!
-Shake up your workout. Yes, you can do that RIGHT HERE with us! Try a body sculpt class, Circuit or Express. Or, stop in and ask about our surprisingly AFFORDABLE Personal Training classes. You can do it with a friend or 2 and split the cost! Email us today! (And, don't be afraid of the tube or ball...check our website for info on our technique classes on how to use those items to add to your workout)
The bottom line? Fitness isn't easy but you CAN do it and we can help. We've got potlucks, coffee dates for the mornings, a new diner to check out in the mall for after class fun and FREE sneakers when you bring a friend! Most importantly, we have 11 BEYOND fab instructors who have the knowledge to get YOU the best workout WHILE you're having fun!
See you in class (put it on your calendar NOW!!!).

Time for playgroup!

Hi folks,
It's a Lilly update!
She weighs in at 33.9lbs, which is perfect for her age/breed. Dr. Dawn says she will be a bit petite and should probably weigh in around 60-65lbs. as an adult. She's had all her shots and is ready to join the Furry Fun Playgroup at Countryside! (She will go 2 days a week for 90 minutes to play, supervised, with her new dog friends!)
She's got 'sit' down, 'potty outside' down and has me and Mr. P&P wrapped around her paw.
She very sweetly sniffs Ally's collar and pic each time she's in the living room and has Ally's same sweetness, but with a touch of additional sass.
She loves playing with Little Mista and Little K-though Little Mista sure tires her out! (in a good way)
Thanks for welcoming her into the Center, making her the mascot and loving her as much as we do!
See you all in class!

Paraskevidekatriaphobia

That would be the fear of Friday the 13th...which is today.

Oh and, yes, the AquaGlobes work.

And, in the interest of 'safety' this Friday the 13th, that will conclude our post for today!
HAHA

As seen on TV...

Ok, as you know, I usually make big fun of the infomercial. I think they are hilarious. However, I was recently at K's house and she has Aquaglobes, those things that are pretty spun glass that you fill with water, stick in your houseplant and it 'waters' it automatically.

I was in W*lmart today and saw them so I bought a pack of 2 for the plants we have on our desk at the Center.

I'll let you know how they work but K swears by them! And, they *are* pretty!
(Sorry, but we needed something 'silly' for yet another SNOW DAY!)

Groundhog day!

Poor Phil or Phyllis. (That groundhog IS a girl!) She was yanked out of her house again to look for her shadow. And, of course, she saw it.
DAMN.
Like we needed some rodent to tell us winter is continuing long and hard as it has all year.
Check your news channels tonight because they are showing all the NUTS who show up to watch Phyllis pulled out by the scruff of her neck so they can all party.
And, here's my question...
Why are they so happy? The GD Groundhog sees her shadow 9 times out of 10 and this means we will suffer with winter at least 6 more weeks. No early Spring...so WHY THE PARTY????
